Printers are connected wirelessly to your Macbook. Classmate takes care of the printing software, and, in most cases, Columbia Business Systems takes care of the printers. Connect with your school office if you think your school printers need troubleshooting.
Most of the time you'll be printing documents from Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Here's how:
Find the File menu in the Menubar (or use the keyboard shortcut, command ⌘+P)
Choose Print
Adjust the print settings to your liking
Click Print
Tip 🔥Look for the printer icon in any app to print.
Occasionally you may need more advanced print settings. To access these settings, use the System Dialogue Menu to print. This is also helpful if you'd like to save print settings that you use often.
Find the File menu
Choose Print
Click More settings
Scroll down and choose "Print using System Dialogue" (or use the keyboard shortcut, shift ⇧ + command ⌘ + P)
Click Show Details
Adjust the print settings to your liking
Click Print OR choose the Presets dropdown to save your print settings for another time.
Find additional print settings at the bottom of the window.
Access your Preset menu to save your printer settings as a default. Helpful for single and double-sided printing / colour and black & white.
